MatVisual is a software to plot data in 3-dimensional space. It helps analyse and identify the relationships in data. The software was originally developed for academia, researchers and postgraduate students to assist their teaching, research and learning. It is suitable for wider users for several types of visual analysis purposes.
The input data might be obtained from numerical calculation, computer simulation, experimental characterization and other data collection means. MatVisual defines a number of special data structures, which are described in the user manual to be distributed along with the software.
MatVisual supports plotting normal or massive data files in computers without excess memory. The latter is achieved by piece-by-piece plotting using multi-domain and multi-parameter data format. The following image demonstrates a MatViaual interface in plotting a phase-field parameter with 4 domains.
